Seijoh High School students took part in the All Japan High School Online Forum using English in which 122 schools participated and included schools from Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.
These 122 schools were then put into ten groups consisting of twelve schools each. Each school then took turns in giving a 2 minute speech followed by 8 minutes of Q&A. Seijoh students proposed a way in which foreign residents in Toyoake could more easily be assimilated into the local population in order to help better get along with and understand local residents. Students from other areas such as Kyoto, Osaka, Okayama, Tochigi and Tokyo then asked questions about their proposal which they answered very well.
In the second half of the forum the students then broke into smaller groups of six schools and discussed two main topics consisting of Education and Communication. Seijoh students were very active in the discussions and helped create a very positive and worthwhile experience which was enjoyed by all.
Unfortunately Seijoh students didn’t win any awards but they actively participated in a very interesting and educational forum in which they could convey their thoughts and ideas in English to a very high level. Well done to all involved.
