9/2 The 3rd grade students are working on their final essay which continues to challenge each and every one of them. Today they are focusing on parts 5, 6 and 7.
Part 5 is looking at Global Issues
Part 6 is where they look at their University options and what type of major they are interested in.
Part 7 is looking at their future career options and if possible how they can continue to contribute to society in their future chosen profession.
The second half of the class is a self-analysis on varying topics and also touches on potentially what could be their biggest challenge to try in the future.
We wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavor.
5/11 Today the 1st grade students received the handover of the “Flower Filled Town Planning Project” for Toyoake City from the 2nd grade students. The 1st graders were instructed to take notes on each stage of the project and ask a number of questions to ensure a thorough understanding of the project as a whole in addition to the finer details. Each 2nd grade presentation team spoke to a number of different groups to share their first hand experience and knowledge. Their presentations were excellent and the presentation session was a great success. Well done 2nd graders.
It’s now up to the 1st grade students to carry on this good work and help make sure that together, with the help of local residents, they can create beautiful relaxing spaces around Toyoake and help to bring the community together as one.
The second year students created a flower planting handover plan for first year students in their old classrooms, grades, classes and groups. The information will be given in the form of a 3-5 minute presentation using real life data and pictures taken while doing the project. Advice will be given of how it was conducted and any problems they encountered and overcame. The key points were to collect information for handing over to first-year students on May 11th and to explain in more detail about the purpose being not only about planting flowers but also discovering local issues and working with local people in order to improve Toyoake City as a whole.
